The Mystery Present
The book is read to children each day by a teacher, and is based around two children getting daily presents from a traveling relative. I designed each day around a country. Accompanying each day’s photo spread was a postcard with a message on it that provided clues to that day’s activities.
I had never created a piece like this before—I think that’s why I like it so much. I’m used to text layouts, but Photoshopping massive photo spreads was completely different and way fun. To me these visuals completely set themselves apart from other children’s books, but are still educational and obvious enough to make sense to young children.
